  18. When JURASSIC PARK came out, Allen Hastings made an immediate and foolish
  19. comment that the JP dinos could have been done with LW3. If you've followed
  20. the brouha on AOL, you probably know how much this either amused of ticked-off
  21. people at ILM. Obviously, Hastings knows a lot about some kinds of
  22. rendering, but not that much about film budgeting (the main expense is
  23. PAYROLL, so faster computers mean less money spent on employees waiting
  24. around for renders and screen refreshes) or how to Win Friends and Influence
  25. People. I'm afraid he'll be seen by many people as just another hypster for a
  26. while....
